Setting up our new office!
This summer is going to be a new adventure for Derrek and I as we are leaving Miami and the Florida Keys for the waters of North Carolina. We are helping a previous boss of ours, Rich, create a full service water-sports facility called Grace Harbor Watersports, including an ASA school, kayaking & paddle-board lessons, tennis practice sessions, a boat Brokerage, boat concierge and more.

Its located at River Dunes, a beautiful marina and housing development roughly 8 miles from Oriental, NC - the sailing capital of NC. Its a very charming, quiet, little town where everyone knows and says hello to everyone.

Although it reminds us a lot of our hometowns, its taking us time to get used to the laid back atmosphere, lack of instant cell service (our new trac-phones) and intermittent internet service.

So far, living here has been a lot of fun and we've met a lot of truly great people. In Miami, unless we met previously in the Keys, it wasn't in their culture to be as welcoming or as friendly so quickly. We've been exploring the town by car and bikes and learning all that the area has to offer! Hopefully with S/V Bandit in the water we will be exploring more by water getting to know the ins - and - outs like we knew so well in Miami and the Florida Keys.
