Loki Sailing

Saturday, August 08, 2015

Last week we took one of our small boats, Loki, out sailing for the first time since we added her to our sailing school. She is a 30' Hunter that we plan on using as our 103 boat and eventually get her to the point where we can bareboat her back to customers of ours to gain more expereience before chartering larger boats in exotic locations such as the Vigin Islands.

We had spent the weeks before fixing her interior up - cleaning up all the mold, trash and debris that was left in her form the previous owners.
After a lot of scrubbing, 3 loads of laundry, and 6 trash bags later we finally got her interior worthy of few photographs.

She still has a ways to go, but hopefully by the end of the summer she will be where we want her to be. Her exterior is currently undergoing a new paint job with new non-skid and fresh varnish - pics to come soon of our progress!

S/V Loki "After" we wished we would have snapped a few photos "Before" but by the time we remembered it was too late.

Looking forward

Beautiful sunset once returning.
