Sailing, sailing, and more sailing!

Thursday, January 28, 2016

We just finished our 'marathon' of ongoing sailing charters during the month of January. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed teaching customers from all over the US who came on learn to sail vacations with us. We taught everything from Basic Keelboat (ASA 101) to Catamaran Cruising (ASA 118) and Coastal Navigation (ASA 105).

During the month we had a wide variety of weather patterns from hot and sunny to cool and windy with everything in between. Some days we even had a mixture of it all. We didn't have any snow however (a reminder I would lovingly send to my parents, in the form of bright sunset photos, as they received ~30" of snowfall back in WV)!!

Neat phenomenon we have never experienced in person - a halo around the sun, meaning a storm is on its way...
