Biscayne National Park Day Sails

Thursday, April 07, 2016

Derrek and I have been helping to fill out our schedules by filling in here and there on Harold's new branch of day sails touring Biscayne National Park. We load up sailboats with kaysks, paddle boards, and snorkel gear spending 2 hours sailing out to our island park destinations, 2 hours visiting the island / playing in the water and 2 hours sailing back. Harold runs these trips out of the Biscayne National park visitors center in Homestead with up to 6 passengers onboard. On weekdays we visit my favorite island, Boca Ch

On most days, there is only one boat scheduled for the day so if Derrek and I are working will help run together to manage the sails and help with dock lines. When it's busy with 2 boats scheduled we run different boats, typically Derrek on our oldboat, Morning g Dance a 41' Morgan Outisland and me on Adventurer a 44'Gulfstar.
